Roxboro Area Chamber of Commerce

Chamber Programs

Commemorative Ribbon Cuttings

Ribbon cuttings are held for new members and businesses expanding or changing locations. They are officiated by the Chairman of the Chamber Board. Events are promoted before and after the event, and are open to the public. Visit our Facebook page for up-to-date event information.

Billboard Program

The Chamber has an annual contract for two billboards located on Hwy. 501, visible as you enter Person County from Durham. To help make billboard advertising affordable, each board is split 50/50, allowing two members promotional space instead of just one. Billboards are available in eight-week intervals. Rates vary annually.

Business After Hours

Open exclusively to Chamber members, these events are hosted and sponsored by Chamber members at the location of their choice and provide an opportunity for informal networking, socializing, door prizes, food and fun. Visit our Facebook page for up-to-date event information.

Gift Certificate Program

This program was designed to promote "shopping local." This cooperative effort between the Chamber and businesses like yours encourages people to spend their money locally. There is no cost to the companies involved ... just the benefit of having patrons spend their gift certificate with you!

Good Morning Coffee Hour

Guest speakers address a variety of topics at a monthly breakfast that is open to the public. Sponsorship by Chamber members makes this possible. A $2 donation per guest is required for the breakfast. Visit our Facebook page for up-to-date event information.

Leadership Person County

This 15-week leadership development course is designed to ensure that our area enjoys a continuing reservoir of leadership talent in the future.

LEADS offers a networking opportunity for members and non-members. Join us the first Wednesday of each month at noon at La Piazza's (formerly Vesuvio's) to share your business information and meet other business owners in the community. Visit our Facebook page for up-to-date event information.

Small Business Seminars

Mini-courses and worships are offered at no charge or nominal fee. Co-sponsored by the Chamber and the Piedmont Community College Business Development and Entrepreneurship Center, these course listings and location appear in the monthly Chamber Report as well as PCC's class schedule.
