Meet Prospective Customers
We've all heard the best way to promote your business is to network. If you attend our Good Morning Coffee Hour and Business After Hours events, you receive the opportunity to meet other business leaders, promote your business and make new friends. There is no cost to attend these events except a $2 mandatory admission to the breakfast. Good Morning Coffee Hours are always held on Wednesday mornings at 8 a.m. at the Golden Corral, and we typically hold one to two Good Morning Coffee Hours a month. (Please visit our Facebook page for up-to-date details.) Business After Hours are scheduled according to our members' needs and RSVPs are encouraged; please visit Facebook for event details.
Promote Your Business
Take full advantage of the many ways the Chamber offers opportunities to promote your business!
For new Chamber members, existing businesses, businesses under new ownership, and businesses that are expanding or relocating, we offer a commemorative Ribbon Cutting. There is always a representative from city and county government available to speak at this ceremony, which is facilitated by the Chairman of the Chamber Board. Members are presented with a plaque, and business owners cut an official ribbon. Information about ribbon cuttings are covered on social media, sent to The Courier-Times calendar, and an email blast goes out to Chamber members. Local media often attend the event. A summary of the event and photos are included in the next month's Chamber Report and on Facebook. This complimentary event is a great way to introduce your business to the community.
In addition to your free listing in our online Membership Directory, we promote doing business with a member through referrals we make on your behalf.
We also promote our members daily through our ramped-up social media campaign, which includes Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn. Send us the information you'd like highlighted!
Our monthly newsletter, The Chamber Report, offers the opportunity to share recent awards/recognitions your company has received, staffing changes and any other news in our "Member News" section, which is free.
Last but not least, place your business cards or flyers in the Chamber lobby to promote your business with our "walk-in customers." This is a "members only" benefit.
Gift Certification Program
Sign up today to be represented in our very successful Gift Certificate Program, at no cost to you. This program was designed to promote "shopping local." How it works: People come to the Chamber and buy gift certificates in any amount they desire, which are redeemable at any of the businesses on the list. Gift certificates have a six-month expiration date, and you turn them into your bank like you would any other check.
Strengthen Your Business Skills & Your Team
By partnering with the Business Development and Entrepreneurship Center of Piedmont Community College, several "Lunch and Learn" programs and evening seminars are available to help build stronger workplace teams and business skills. Notification of these sessions is available in Piedmont Community College semester offerings and our bi-weekly emails.
Partners In Healthcare
Our Business Primary Health Services Program is available to Chamber member business owners, their employees and immediate families, and Chamber associate members and their families, through an exclusive partnership with Person Family Medical & Dental Centers and Piedmont Business Health Services. This does not offer major medical and hospitalization coverage, but it does offer reduced doctor visit fees and significantly reduced prescription charges.
Working With You, For You
Owning a business or non-profit can be tough. One of the greatest benefits the Chamber can provide is our partnership with you to ensure the future is a strong one.
